Synopsis

The International Conference on Cognitive Neuroscience (ICON), established in 1980, has a long-standing tradition of promoting scientific collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange in the field of human cognition. Held in Porto, ICON 2025 brought together an international community of researchers to share new discoveries, ideas, and perspectives on the neural basis of cognition.
This volume reflects the diversity and scientific excellence of the conference, capturing the spirit of collaboration in the field. The authors gratefully acknowledge the scientific contributions and dedicated support of the speakers, presenters, Scientific Committee, volunteers, sponsors, and all those who made ICON 2025 possible.

From exploring neuroimaging to delving into neurostimulation techniques and cognitive testing, ICON explores the intricate relationship between the human brain, mind, and behaviour across various topics. The conference features an extensive scientific program, including keynote lectures, symposia, and poster sessions, inviting researchers from diverse backgrounds to exchange their latest findings and methodologies, thus advancing our understanding of the neural basis of human cognition.
